Where once was a sea now a desert keeps the giant shells of long gone creatures. People turned them into dwelling places and gathered round an oasis. It's midday...(also have sunset shots and in-city shots).
Terrain done with Bryce, textured in Maya. Clouds are 3 layers of fluids. Palm-trees are polygons with PaintFX history. Render times low, except clouds...
